Yunqi Richard Li is a writer & director who aims to tell understated stories through compelling moving images. Originally from Beijing, China and now attending USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, he is particularly inspired by films that explore the themes of memory, uncertainty, and self-actualization.

His debut short film Almost Will was an official selection at the 2020 AAHSFF and won Outstanding Live Action Short at MetroWest Student Film Festival 2020. His producing credit includes Missing at Sea, which was selected at the 2024 LA Shorts Film Festival, and Hermit Crab, currently in post production. At USC, he collaborates closely with his peers in productions of various scales and genres.

He is currently in post production on the shorts Rain Check and Missing at Sea.
